Areas of expertise

Biblical/historical studies related to the Ancient Near East and to the Jewish background of Christianity, how the teachings of Scripture are relevant for living in today's world.


Hanson has 12 years of experience teaching adults in the areas of Bible interpretation, Bible survey, Christian life, and biblical theology. He owned a small business for over 20 years and is a military veteran. Hanson is actively involved in local church ministries, teaching adult Bible studies, leading youth classes, and speaking at retreats. He is also finishing a Ph.D. at Luther Seminary.
