Biography
Justin Kennedy is an active conductor, performer, teacher, and is currently teaching at Cambridge - Isanti High School. He is also currently serving as adjunct professor of saxophone and teaches woodwind methods at Bethel University and is co-conductor of the East Central Grad Band. He has previously held positions as an instrumental music teacher in the Long Prairie - Grey Eagle School district, Music Director for the Long Prairie Chamber Orchestra, as a private music instructor at Jan Erickson Music Studios of Eden Prairie, and as Head Librarian for the Minnesota Youth Symphonies. Justin is a graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College, with an honors degree in music performance on the saxophone. As a musicologist, Mr. Kennedy has co-presented at the Midwest International Clinic for Band and Orchestra (Chicago, IL) and The Oxford Roundtable of Scholars (Oxford, England), and the International Journal of Arts and Sciences Conference at Harvard University (Cambridge, MA). Justin lives outside of Cambridge, MN with his wife,Crystal, and their three sons, Jonas, Wesley, and Grant.
