Biography
Lindstrom retired from K-12 education in 2008. He then served as the executive director of SciMathMN, a non-profit focused on K-12 STEM. He previously taught industrial technology/technology education at the middle, high school, and university levels for 18 years and mathematics at the middle school level for 5 years. He worked in the Anoka-Hennepin District office for 16 years as a technology education consultant, instructional and assessment facilitator, and secondary mathematics specialist. He currently teaches technology and assessment courses part time at the University level, and serves as an education consultant.
Awards
Mike served as the Project Director for the MN STEM Teacher Center website (www.scimathmn.org/stemtc) launched in 2011. The STEM Teacher Center was awarded "Most Innovative Website by a Non-profit" in 2012.
In 2014 Lindstrom was awarded "Distinguished Technology Educator" by the International Technology and Engineering Educators Association.
Hobbies and Interests
An avid runner, windsurfer and mountain biker. Also a cabinet and furniture designer.
