Biography

I completed my master's degree in Special Education at Bethel University and became a licensed Special Education Teacher in the EBD and SLD disability areas. Prior to that, I received my master's degree in Professional Counseling from Colorado Christian University and worked as an in-home therapist. It is amazing how the Lord uses all of my education and experiences in my various job positions.  Currently, I am an adjunct faculty member here at Bethel, where I teach classes and supervise student teachers in the graduate SPED program, as well as teach a math class in the BUILD program at the undergraduate level.

My husband also works in the field of special education. We have been married for thirteen years and have two fun kiddos, Ellie (9) and Colton (7).   Some of my favorite things are getting lost in a great story, reading with my kids, enjoying my morning coffee,  playing outside with my family, watching my garden grow (now that I have fenced out the bunnies!), and traveling to new places.
