Sue's nursing and teaching career has focused on maternal/child health. She has published a number of articles related to spiritual care and faith development in children. Sue has also done research and published in the area of perinatal bereavement. In addition to teaching, she is currently working as a Perinatal Nurse Navigator with a focus on caring for families who have experienced the loss of a baby. She is currently developing a high risk perinatal program in Mbale, Uganda that is called "Birth with Dignity: Mothers and Babies of Uganda."
