My history with Bethel goes back to when I was in kindergarten. That's when my oldest brother first came to Bethel as a freshman, followed by three more siblings until it was finally my turn in 1993. After graduation, I spent nearly 10 years working for the Minnesota State Senate. I put my career on hold for several years to raise my children, and am so grateful that the Lord has brought me back to serve at Bethel.

My best Bethel memories

My favorite memories of Bethel include broomball, late night study groups, spending a semester in Washington, D.C., amazing professors, and cheering on the Royals football, basketball, and hockey teams with my friends.

My guiding Scripture verse

I can’t say that I have a single guiding verse, but I chose these two because they demonstrate that God’s love is central to all that we do.

Nehemiah 8:10: “…the joy of the Lord is your strength.”

Romans 5:3-5: “We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.”

In my free time

As a mom of three kids, you can often find me cheering at a soccer game or snuggling on the couch watching a movie. I also enjoy genealogy and reading as many books as I can. My husband, Mike ’97, and I love to travel. I am always looking forward to our next adventure!
