Current Counseling Services

Supporting, encouraging, and guiding Bethel students throughout their college experience.

Life can be tough. And life while going to school can sometimes be tougher! Bethel’s Counseling Services offers the support, encouragement, and guidance you need.

Staffed with trained professionals, Counseling Services offers support for students in all four schools (College of Arts & Sciences, College of Adult & Professional Studies, Seminary, and Graduate School).

Effects of COVID-19

Counseling Services is temporarily providing telehealth services during Bethel's virtual learning through May 2020. We will be offering the following support:
  • Telehealth counseling sessions and consults for Bethel students who are physically located in Minnesota at the time of the appointment. (This geographical criteria is due to licensing restrictions.)
  • Phone check-ins with students who are out of state to help them identify nearby counselors and mental health resources as well as online or digital resources.
Counselors will connect with students via phone calls or video conferencing on a HIPAA compliant version of Google Hangouts Meet. Students seeking services should email with their name, phone number, reason for reaching out, and blocks of time when their call can be returned.
