Professor Schmidt will read from her new memoir, Triptych, which is set for release in April by Kalos Press. The book grapples with spiritual coming-of-age, exploring faith not as a journey down a narrow road but as a container that holds a match: a puzzle, a flame, a fight. Poet Deborah Keenan describes the work as "a book about struggle and grace, blessings and confusion--a book that shines with the author's desire to make clear, both to readers and herself, what kind of life, what kind of faith, what kind of love is worth claiming and fighting for." Books will be available for sale at the presentation and in the Campus Store.
