Event Description

Pastors are invited to join the Office of Campus Ministries and Bethel Seminary for a morning of prayer, coffee, and Bethel updates from President Ross Allen, along with a joint message on the topic of generosity from guest Pastor Efrem Smith of Midtown Church in Sacramento, California, and Bethel’s Lead Campus Pastor Nick Cocalis (S’25). (NOTE: We invite all participants to stay and join us for chapel from 10:20–11 a.m. in Benson Great Hall!)

About our speakers

Pastor Efrem Smith is an internationally recognized speaker, author, and preacher who equips others for lives of transformation. He consults on issues of multi-ethnicity, leadership, and community development, and formerly served as president and CEO of World Impact. Efrem is currently the senior pastor of Midtown Church in Sacramento, California. He’s the founding pastor of Sanctuary Covenant Church in Minneapolis. He holds degrees from Saint John’s University and Luther Theological Seminary, and earned a Doctor of Ministry in Church Leadership and Reconciliation Theology from Fuller Seminary. He’s the author of several books, including Killing Us Softly. Efrem and his wife Donecia have two daughters and are passionate about the redemptive work of the Church.

Pastor Nick Cocalis (S’25) is the Lead Campus Pastor at Bethel. He has a heart to walk alongside students as we work together to make campus look more like heaven. He has a deep background and passion for local and global missions and loves to play and coach golf. Pastor Nick and his wife Melanie (C‘12) welcomed baby boy Jonathan this past March. Nick holds degrees from Marquette University, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and Bethel Seminary.
