Event Description
Social Practice Art is a dynamic and evolving field that transcends traditional art boundaries to engage directly with social issues. By prioritizing human interaction, community involvement, and social impact, it offers a powerful medium for addressing contemporary challenges and fostering social change.
This project will engage students and community members in a series of social practice art activities and reflection exercises aimed at creating critical dialogue around loving our neighbors.
This includes stations consisting of a community mural painting, coloring pages, Loving Thy Neighbor Book launch, information regarding social work and community initiatives, information on supporting local immigrant-owned businesses and other handouts.
