Event Description
Celebrate the winter season with Winter Family Weekend at Bethel University! This new tradition invites students and families to come together for a cozy, festive weekend filled with connection and winter fun. Enjoy a full lineup of activities across campus — from cross country skiing and a paint night with live music, to student performances, athletic contests and parent and family sessions. Whether you’re cheering on the Royals at the big game, exploring the snow-filled campus, or warming up at our evening bonfire, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Winter Family Weekend Information Central

Stop by to pick up a schedule and a name tag and get your questions answered for the weekend!
Campus Store Open
9 a.m.–4 p.m. | Brushaber Commons (BC), Level 2

Lunch
11 a.m.-2 p.m. | Monson Dining Center, Brushaber Commons (BC), Level 3
Experience lunch on campus, and enjoy the variety and appeal of Bethel’s delicious buffet-style dining. Payment can be made at the Monson Dining Center (credit/debit cards preferred). Parents and families are welcome to use their student’s meal plan.
Women’s Hockey vs. St. Mary’s University
7 p.m. | Bethel University Arena - National Sports Center
Cheer on the Royals as they take on the Cardinals in this MIAC match-up! Tickets can be purchased at the arena - $10/adults and $5/students. Admission is free for children under 5 years of age.

Outdoor Winter Activities & Fireside Cider
1-4 p.m. | Lobby, Community Life Center (CLC), Level 1
Snowshoe, cross country ski or simply hike campus trails in the winter wonderland. Outdoor gear will be available for check out in the Community Life Center Lobby. Then grab a cup of hot cider and head to the firepits by Lake Valentine.

Coffee & Canvas Cafe
7-9 p.m. | Underground, Brushaber Commons (BC), Level 2
Listen to student musicians, sip a hot beverage and enjoy a treat while playing a card game or painting your own Bethel-inspired watercolor artwork (while supplies last). A small fee of $5/person is required at the door to participate in the watercolor artwork activity.
