Michael Cina Artist Talk

A contemporary abstract painter with deep roots in design, Michael Cina's new exhibit pays an intersected homage to his creative practice. Featuring a collection of unseen paintings as well as retrospective works, Art as Design/Design as Art combines foundational design principles with gestural, organic abstraction. The exhibit also includes an additional room within the gallery where viewers can peruse some of Cina's favorite design books and take in a selection of album covers he's created--complete with a turntable for listening.
