Event Description

Moderated by Bethel University Art Professor Kenneth Steinbach, this discussion features four artists--Margery Amdur, Matthew Bourbon, Caroline Kent, and Jenene Nagy--who were among 75 artists interviewed by Steinbach for his recently published book Creative Practices for Visual Artists (Routledge, 2018)

The discussion takes place off-campus at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. There will be refreshments and a book signing after the discussion. Free and open to the general public. Click here for more information about the event

This event is presented as part of a larger collaboration between Augsburg University, Bethel University, the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, and St. Catherine University that includes corresponding exhibitions. Bethel University will host the exhibit, Time, Space, and Process, which explores the creative processes of Deborah Aschheim, Matthew Bourbon, Cesar CornejoJill DownenLang/Baumann and Wendy Red Star. On view: October 8-December 16.

Jill Downen will give an artist talk followed by a gallery reception on November 14 at 6pm in the Eastlund Room (CLC Level 2).
