Jeff Wetzig's sabbatical exhibition FREE honors the signs and objects that sprout up at the curb, poking at the advertisements of an owner's purge and the unfailing optimism of a scavenger. This new series is a visual investigation of the economics of decay and desire.

About the Artist: Jeff Wetzig is a printmaker and drawer who lives in an off-grid, hand-built house in the woods of Wisconsin. He has exhibited artwork in numerous venues in the Midwest as well as Seattle, Miami, and New York. He is a graduate of Bethel College and has an MFA from Brooklyn College. He is the recipient of a Minnesota State Arts Board Grant and a MacDowell Fellowship. He has work in many private and public collections including the Walker Art Center, Minneapolis Institute of Art, and the Minnesota History Center. He currently teaches printmaking and drawing at Bethel University in St. Paul, Minnesota.
