Fall Play: See How They Run

In a quiet English village, Reverend Lionel Toop and his colorful wife await the arrival of a guest vicar. Soon, however, multiple men in clergymen's suits show up, and through mistaken identity, the comedy ensues, especially when it is revealed that one guest is an escaped convict and another a past suitor of the reverend's wife. As the characters gallop in and out of the four doors of the vicarage, trumped-up stories are created to explain the chaos that occurs. Add to the mix a spinster who touches alcohol for the first time and a cockney maid who has seen too many American movies, and you have the ingredients for an excellent farce of the most involved variety.
