Faith integration


You'll integrate your faith, spirituality, and values in classroom collaborations and holistic clinical experiences.

Flexibility


You can choose to complete the program within 5 semesters (instead of 6) if you complete two clinical externship experiences in one semester. Two out of six semesters are fully online. 

Preparation for future career


You'll enroll in a zero-credit course that helps you prepare for taking the national praxis examination in speech-language pathology. You can also enroll in a zero-credit course for learning about career preparation resources and future employment options.

Strong clinical emphasis


You'll receive multiple clinical opportunities at the on-campus clinic as well as at other off-campus clinical sites and learn about service delivery options for children and adults with communication and swallowing disorders.

Hands-on learning


You'll engage in project-based, hands-on learning in collaborative settings, by integrating theory with real-world clinical skills. Through coursework and three semesters of practicum, plus two semesters of externship, you'll develop expertise in culturally responsive care, clinical documentation, interprofessional communication, and ethical decision-making.
