My favorite things about Bethel University

Shalom! Bethel is committed to the flourishing of all members of our body; I have felt this to be true as both a student and employee. I am grateful to be part of a professional community wherein the individual and communal wellbeing of students, faculty, and staff is a priority.

My favorite things about the Twin Cities and life

Family! After a sweet (and sweaty) season way down in New Orleans, my husband and I transitioned to Minneapolis to be nearer to family. If you’re looking for us, we’re more than likely out enjoying one of the following Twin Cities delights: rollerblading around the lakes, playing pond hockey, or exploiting free samples at various local farmer’s markets.

My favorite thing about being a Student Success Advisor

Collaboration! My favorite thing about being a Student Success Advisor is connecting and collaborating with students to determine an educational pathway that suits their specific set of circumstances. Here at Bethel, we know that each learner is juggling commitments beyond the classroom. It is a privilege to partner with people in pursuing an academic plan that brings balance to their life.

Before working at Bethel

Prior to Bethel, I worked in the nonprofit sector, advocating for high-achieving students in under-resourced settings. As an academic interventionist and program coordinator, I have supported post-traditional as well as non-traditional learners in achieving their goals. I am deeply convicted about educational equity and ensuring all students have the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual resources they need to be successful.
