My favorite things about Bethel University

My life has been deeply impacted by Bethel’s commitment to whole-person formation and integrative practice. During my time as a graduate student in marriage and family therapy and now in Bethel’s education doctoral program, my professors invested in my life in ways that went far beyond imparting clinical skills and leadership knowledge to experiences that were truly life-transforming.

My favorite thing about the Twin Cities and life

Four seasons, an incredible art and culture scene, and water and green spaces without end.

My favorite things about being the Dean of Student Success and Retention

Watching lives changed through education! I work each day with an exceptional team of people who believe in the transformative power of higher education and who are fully committed to helping students reach their goals.

Before working at Bethel

In addition to my role as Dean, I teach a few courses each year on the subjects of personal formation, families as systems, and dynamics of interpersonal relationships. I am also in active practice as a licensed marriage and family therapist. Prior to Bethel, I worked in sales and marketing at a large corporation in the Twin Cities metro.
