Transfer Evaluation System (TES)

This tool gives students an approximation of how their credits from other colleges or universities will transfer to Bethel.

The most current catalogs from the schools listed in TES have been evaluated, and the equivalent Bethel courses are listed below. Some courses will have a direct course-by-course match to a Bethel course, and some courses will apply to one of Bethel’s general education categories. Other courses will transfer in for elective credit toward the student’s degree program at Bethel.

For students who took courses at other colleges or universities in prior years, the Bethel equivalencies may be slightly different than the listing below. A final determination of transfer credits will be made after applicants send official transcripts to Bethel.

As you review TES, if you do not see the school you attended, or if you do not see a course you took, you may fill out a petition. The Registrar’s Office will coordinate with department heads to evaluate how your courses will transfer into Bethel.

Bethel will accept up to 30 credits by examination. The pre-approved courses on the APCLEP, and IB lists are for General Education Requirements only. If you are wanting the credits by examination to apply toward courses for your major or minor, you may fill out a petition with your request. Students may also receive credits for the completion of Youth with a Mission (YWAM) Discipleship Training School through the University of the Nations and military basic training.
