We are committed to making your admission and transition to Bethel as smooth as possible. Our transfer admissions counselor is ready to help you learn more about Bethel and the steps you need to take to become a Bethel student. 

Transferring Credits to Bethel

Our unique Transfer Entry Level may be used to exempt you from additional requirements based on the number of credits you transfer to Bethel. We value the experience you bring to Bethel. Using our Transfer Evaluation System (TES), you’ll find that many of your previous courses will transfer to Bethel to fulfill our requirements. Bethel also accepts the Minnesota Transfer Curriculum

Completion of the Minnesota General Education Transfer Curriculum (MnTC) will satisfy all general education requirements except the requirements listed below, which must be completed in residence:

  • Christianity and Western Culture
  • Two general education Bible or theology courses
  • Introduction to Wellbeing
  • One contemporary Christian issues course
  • Cross-cultural experience

An associate of arts degree from a college or university accredited by a regional accrediting agency will satisfy all general education requirements except the requirements listed below, which must be completed in residence:

  • Christianity and Western Culture
  • One general education Bible or theology course
  • One contemporary Christian issues course
  • Cross-cultural experience

Your First Week at Bethel

Welcome Week is your official start at Bethel, and we’ve planned special events just for transfer students! Check out the Welcome Week Facebook group for updates and to contact the student leaders who will be welcoming you to Bethel. 

Your First Semester at Bethel

You’ll work closely with a faculty member who’s knowledgeable and experienced in working with transfer students. You’ll also get to know other transfer students and learn about resources to support you and help make the most of your time at Bethel.

Your Years at Bethel

During your first semester at Bethel, you’ll meet with a transfer advisor to ensure your transfer of credits and review the General Education requirements you have met through transfer or exemption. Your transfer advisor will then connect with your faculty academic advisor, who’ll help you plan your schedule for the next semesters.
