Moya means 'Spirit' in the South African Bantu Language. Moya is to embrace our identity as first being made in the image of God and second embracing the image of being African / Afro-Caribbean / African American. This year there is no student leader at the moment, but Bethel University staff and professors will meet every couple of weeks to provide a space for students to identify and join in fellowship together.
Moya is a resource for all students seeking support or those who have a sparked interest in African / Afro-Caribbean / African American affairs. We are here to instill self-worth through discussion, events and fellowship to help educate African / Afro-Caribbean / African American students and the Bethel Community as a whole.
