DesAnne Hippe brings with her over 15 years of experience teaching systematic theology, ethics, and practical ministry on campus, online, and in the church. Over the years, she has taught for Marquette University, Trinity International University's Milwaukee extension site, Bethel Seminary, and Wesley Seminary. This experience, along with her time working as a psychiatric social worker and a pastor, helps her to equip her students and ministry leaders in solid biblical and theological foundations in ways that empower them to have practical, impactful expressions of their faith in their ministry.

Dr. Hippe earned her M.S.W. in church social work and an interdisciplinary Ph.D. in the areas of systematic theology, ethics, and philosophy.  She most recently served as the Director of Community Ministry for Inhabit, Inc., a nonprofit grounded in the principles of the Christian Community Development Association serving the Sherman Park neighborhood in Milwaukee, WI.  As part of her family's call to social justice and racial reconciliation, she lives with her husband and two teenage daughters in the central city of Milwaukee where they work to intentionally to connect with their neighbors and serve the community.  Two dogs and a turtle help round out their household.  She is ordained in the Wesleyan Church, and her passion is to support and equip Christians as they minister in challenging spaces.
