Biography

Diane began her academic journey in the pre-med program at the University of Minnesota Duluth before transferring to The College of St. Scholastica to pursue nursing, inspired by her calling to become a Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM) instead of an OB/GYN. She has practiced midwifery since 2003 and became certified in 2005 after earning her master’s degree from the University of Minnesota- Twin Cities. In 2019, she completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice at St. Catherine University, driven by her vision to be a beacon of change.

Beyond teaching and clinical practice, Diane is a passionate advocate for birthing families and a convener of women in worship. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, sharing laughter with friends, watching movies, spending time with her husband, and learning the latest dance moves from her two sons.
