Event Description

Please stop by to visit with alums, faculty, and students and find out what's new and exciting in the History and Political Science Departments. Hear from the Political Science Senior Seminar students as they present their senior research project proposals.

You'll also have a special opportunity to leave an audio-recorded memory of either G.W. Carlson or Stacey Hunter Hecht, or both. As part of a faculty development grant by Amy Poppinga and Sam Mulberry, the interviews will be archived into a larger oral history training program. They hope to use them in a variety of ways to both honor Stacey and G.W. and also to provide a teaching tool for students. Visit Amy and Sam in the History Department area between 9 and 11 a.m. to record your memories.

Following the open house at 11 a.m., please join us in dedicating a memorial to Stacey Hunter Hecht and G. W. Carlson. We will walk from the CLC Circle to the memorial location adjacent to the Royal Gardens on the north side of campus.
