Event Description

Everyone is invited to join our Music and Theatre Department as we praise God in song and celebrate His faithfulness to Bethel for 150 years! In commemoration of the university’s 150th anniversary, this event will feature a special selection of hymns through the decades led by department chair Jonathan Veenker and director of choral activities Merrin Guice Gill. Honored guests will include professor of music emeritus Dennis Port as well as a legacy of Bethel presidents: Carole Spickelmier and Jill Jezierski (daughters of Bethel’s third president Carl and Nancy Lundquist), George and Darleen Brushaber (fourth president), Jay and Barb Barnes (fifth president), and Ross and Annie Allen (sixth and current president).

Music alumni: Whether you’re a vocalist or instrumentalist, you are invited to sing with current Bethel choir members on stage for two choral anthems. Learn more and register to participate in this combined choir.
