Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra

On his recent debut album Where is Home (Hae Ke Kae), Abel Selaocoe draws musical inspiration from both African and European traditions and writes that “home is the place that empowers you; not only a geographical place but in people as well.” This program takes its name from his album, which The Strad described as “wonderful, full of invention and vitality and superbly well played and sung.” In this second week of back-to-back performances featuring his own compositions and those developed collaboratively with SPCO musicians, Selaocoe invites the audience on a journey of personal and communal exploration.
