Event Description
110º in the Shade is based on the romantic comedy The Rainmaker by N. Richard Nash. Lyrics by Tom Jones, and music by Harvey Schmidt.
The Dust Bowl was the name given to the Great Plains region devastated by drought in 1930s depression-ridden America. Into the lives of a community experiencing a drought affecting their land—as well as their personal lives—strides the charismatic Starbuck. He says he can bring rain. Is he a conman or the person they need to rescue them from the drought?
Spend some time with Curry family and experience a story of hope and redemption.
