Fun beyond the piano!

There's more to camp than practicing and performing. We've planned plenty of fun activities to help students relax, make friends, and create unforgettable summer memories. Here are some highlights:

  • outdoor and indoor games to stay active and have fun
  • ping pong battles and foosball showdowns
  • board games and friendly competitions
  • movie night with camp friends
  • boba tea social—a sweet treat with friends
  • ice cream sundae social after the recital
  • surprise activities like water slides, water games, counselor-led challenges, and more

The fun doesn't stop when the music ends. These shared experiences help students build friendships and create lasting memories.

Special event: camp field trip

The field trip is a highlight of the academy experience. Students will enjoy an exciting field trip to selected Minnesota attractions, combining exploration, educational experiences, and plenty of fun. Transportation will be provided by the academy, with students accompanied and supervised by camp counselors and staff throughout the outing. This special event offers a refreshing break from intensive music study while allowing students to strengthen friendships and make memories together. View last year's field trip video.

Campwide picnic and social

The campwide picnic is one of our favorite academy traditions, bringing students, faculty, and staff together for a fun and relaxing break from the practice room. Over a traditional barbecue, Chinese buffet, or ramen noodle bar, everyone shares delicious food, laughter, and conversation while building friendships and strengthening our camp community.

The fun continues with lawn games, group photos, and creative talent skits with friends and counselors. It's a wonderful opportunity to unwind, connect, and create some of the most memorable moments of the academy.
