Bethel Announces New Vice President for ITS

Mark Posner looks forward to returning to Bethel and Minnesota for his new position at the university.

Bethel University has announced that alumnus Mark Posner will be the new vice president for information technology services. "I am excited about the skills and experience Mark will bring to complement and lead an already technically strong and well positioned ITS team at Bethel,” says Joe LaLuzerne, senior vice president for strategic planning and operational effectiveness. “Mark has a track record of success in delivering mission-critical technology solutions and, as a Bethel graduate, Mark possesses a heart for Bethel and for providing information technology services to support and advance our mission.”

Posner is currently the deputy airport director for information services at Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority in North Carolina, a position he has held since 2007. He held a leadership role in the development and installation of information technology systems for the airport’s new terminal, which opened in 2008.

“I am excited to work with a highly talented ITS staff that is well respected and an integral part of the university,” says Posner. “I am also very excited to be a part of Bethel University because Bethel is a part of who I am. Bethel is also a big part of the success I have enjoyed in my career.”

Posner has worked as an information services manager and in other roles for Northwest Airlines, which is now part of Delta, since 1998. A native of Minnesota, Posner graduated from Bethel in 1992 with a bachelor’s in business finance and marketing.

Posner is expected to start at Bethel in early summer.
