Seminary Community Gathers for Fall Retreat

The seminary kicked off a new academic year at the All-Seminary Fall Retreat.

Bethel Seminary faculty, staff, and students gathered for the All-Seminary Fall Retreat in late September to kick off the new academic year. The annual event helps to create a sense of community as returning students welcome and encourage new seminarians, and as attendees hear from faculty members, share communion, and worship together. This year’s retreat featured faculty speakers Jeannine Brown, professor of New Testament, and Steve Sandage, professor of marriage and family studies. Students also participated in break-out sessions led by faculty and staff members that focused on areas of emphasis at the seminary, such as leadership studies or pastoral care studies. Other breakouts featured discussion of relevant topics like “What I Wish I Knew Before Starting Seminary,” and “What Happens After Seminary?”
