Department of Education Update

As President Barnes stated in an email to the Bethel community in July 2013, Bethel University received a letter from the Department of Education indicating that we had failed to meet the standards of financial responsibility for fiscal year 2012. At that time we began working with U.S. Rep. Betty McCollum's office and the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities (NAICU), as well as our auditors, attorneys, and other experts in higher education, to resolve this situation.
