Bethel Provost Deb Harless Receives Distinguished Alumni Award

Provost Deb Harless earned a master’s and doctorate in educational psychology from the University of Minnesota.

Bethel University Executive Vice President and Provost Deb Harless recently received the “Distinguished Alumni Award” from the University of Minnesota’s College of Education and Human Development.

The “Distinguished Alumni Award” honors alumni who have brought distinction to their professions and communities. Harless, who earned a master’s and doctorate in educational psychology from the University of Minnesota, was nominated for the award because of her outstanding service as a leader, team builder, counselor, faculty member, and administrator in higher education.

The awardees represent a diverse range of academic disciplines and career paths. According to the University of Minnesota, “All are community builders and leaders who have made a positive difference in the lives of children, youth, families, schools, and organizations, and whose achievements bring honor to the college.”
