Students will assist the staff with campus lawn care, general grounds cleanup, athletic field maintenance, landscaping projects, road maintenance, and various campus grounds projects. It's not too early to look for summer employment! Facilities Management has opportunities for Residence Halls Maintenance & HVAC Teams. These positions will provide support to Residence Halls Maintenance staff and the HVAC staff.

Available positions and responsibilities are:

  • Inspection Team: Perform maintenance inspections & basic repairs
  • Moving Team: Deliver and set-up furniture in Bethel residences
  • Painting Team: Paint interiors of campus buildings & residences
  • HVAC Team: Change filters, clean coils in residences & campus buildings.

The most important qualification is a willingness to serve the Bethel Community this summer. Although background skills in these areas are a plus, they are not a prerequisite; we will train you.

BUILD Program

Job Title: BUILD Job Mentor

Job Description: Job Mentors promote independence by providing on-the-job coaching and support for students in the BUILD program during their internships.

Overview of Job Duties:

  • Work alongside students in the BUILD program and assist them in completing the tasks required of them at their jobs/internships
  • Promote independence by removing support when possible - as students develop independence and need less support, please understand that your hours may be decreased
  • Assist students in staying focused and motivated on the job
  • Listen, recognize positive strides, and remind students of the progress they are making.
  • Help correct behaviors and processes that are not working well, and help establish new approaches to overcome barriers or challenges when the original plan is not working effectively
  • Provide daily feedback to BUILD Internship Supervisor to track the student’s progress and hours
  • For off-campus internships, provide transportation of students to and from work in a Bethel vehicle
  • Other duties as assigned
