People and Culture at Bethel is about equipping, supporting, and partnering with our employees throughout their employment journey at Bethel.
We are a people organization. It is our vision to grow the concept of human resources into one that focuses more broadly on the entire employee and organizational experience. Beyond traditional human resources functions, people and culture has expanded its focus into one that drives toward heightened excellence, renewed accountability, enhanced employee empowerment, and the intentional development of Bethel’s next generation of leaders. Through these ongoing efforts, our desire is to increase employee engagement and foster shared ownership of our employment culture and university goals.
Three strategic principles will support this vision:
- The “what and why” of what we do. Realign people and culture strategies, programs, and processes in a manner that demonstrates the value that people and organizational best practices provide to employees and supervisors.
- The “who” of what we do. Provide clarity of roles (people and culture team, supervisors, employees, administrators, etc.) to drive toward increased understanding of accountability and subsequent responsibility for results.
- The “how” of what we do. With a renewed focus on empowering employees, provide the tools, consultation, training, and professional development opportunities necessary to grow and develop employees and increase employee engagement.
