STARs is a group of current Bethel students that contact prospective students on Tuesday and Thursday evenings throughout the academic school year. As a STAR, you will contact prospective students for a variety of reasons through phone calls and follow up emails, but also look for new ways to reach students and their families. Most often, we are contacting students to invite them to campus events, to update them on their application, and to answer questions that they may have. 

The team for 2016-2017 is looking for current students with a strong commitment to serve prospective students and a desire to communicate your experience about Bethel. Because we need to represent the entire campus, we are looking for people that can bring a unique perspective of Bethel to the team. The Nursing department is looking for a non-nursing major (freshman or sophomore student) to assist department faculty and staff. Job duties include: typing detailed material, data entry, copying, researching, filing, scanning documents, proctoring exams, assembling mailings, distribution of information to nursing students, and a wide variety of other tasks.

Student needs to have strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. It is helpful if they have experience using the library system but not required. Other skills/qualities: dependable, good organizational and administrative skills, attention to detail, accurate, self-directed, able to work independently. Student must be able to handle confidential information appropriately.
