Wellness Center

WLC Mission and Vision

At Bethel, health and wellness are about a holistic approach to balanced living. That's why in the Bethel University Wellness Center (WLC), we strive to provide innovative facilities and programming to encourage an active and healthy lifestyle. Through our inclusive and Christ-focused community, we cultivate an uplifting atmosphere as we seek wellbeing together. The 11,000 square feet of fitness area provides state-of-the-art training equipment and spaces across three areas: the Penz Strength Center, a floor of cardio equipment, and a group studio.

WLC Hours

Regular Hours:

Monday-Thursday: 6 a.m.-11 p.m. 
Friday: 6 a.m.-8 p.m.
Saturday: 8 a.m.-8 p.m.
Sunday: 12 p.m.-8 p.m.

Due to COVID-19, the Wellness Center will only serve current students, staff, and faculty during the Fall 2020 semester. In addition, to maintain alignment with CDC and MDH recommendations, all workouts must be scheduled using the Wellness Center App. To acquire the app, email For the safety and wellbeing of our entire campus, the Wellness Center will operate at 25% capacity, and social distancing and masks will be required during workouts. Bethel’s Wellness Center makes the tools for healthy living convenient and accessible to students, employees, and alumni, who all receive free access during hours of operation.

Along with cutting-edge equipment, the two floors of exercise space also feature studio spaces designed for group fitness.
