Sometimes we grow as a follower of Jesus through relationships with people who are like us, going through something similar as us, or ahead of us on the journey. Through our common experiences, we find common ground for the Spirit to grow us to be more like Jesus and on mission in our Father’s world.
Spiritual Formation for First-Year Students of Color: Peer Empowerment Program
The Peer Empowerment Program (PEP) is designed specifically for incoming students of color with a focus on how to navigate campus life academically, socially, and spiritually. To learn more, click here.
Mentoring for Women: Woven Lives
Woven Lives is a mentoring program for female students. It pairs interested students with women from Bethel’s faculty and staff. The program is designed to encourage and support students through a mentoring relationship that begins mid-October and continues through April. Each mentoring relationship is developed through one-on-one meetings that each pair plans. To learn more, click here.
Spiritual Formation for LGBTQ+ Students: Prism
Prism is a spiritual formation group designed to be a place of belonging and Christian community for students who identify as LGBTQ+ and for students processing their gender or sexual identity in some way. It is a place to share stories, engage with Scripture, and become more like Christ for the sake of the world. To learn more about Prism, email Pastor Matt Runion at matthew-runion@bethel.edu
Bethel Student Government (BSG) Ministries
Each year, Christian Formation partners with BSG Student Ministries to offer opportunities to grow as a Christ-follower. These are student-initiated ministries and vary from year to year. To learn more, click here.
