Health Services

Providing Bethel students with the care and health information they need to get well and stay healthy.

Health Services

Health Services is open Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m.

We are here for you!

Bethel University Health Services is open and eager to serve the needs of students. We offer free in-person and telehealth appointments (via Google Meet).

To speak to a nurse or to schedule an appointment with the nurse practitioner, call 651.638.6215 during our clinic hours. Walk-ins are accepted based on availability.

The Clinic

Location: Town House H, first level

Our office is run by a staff of registered nurses and a nurse practitioner, who is in the clinic Monday through Thursday.

We offer a wide variety of services to Bethel students.

COVID-19

If you test positive:

Current CDC guidance recommends a five-day to 10-day isolation period with the option to leave isolation after day five if you are fever-free and mild COVID symptoms are largely improved, then mask while indoors through day 10

If you have any symptoms that could be related to COVID-19 or are in isolation for COVID-19, Health Services can still see you in-person if needed. Call Health Services, 651.638.6215, for instructions.

We encourage faculty, coaches, and supervisors to be supportive in allowing those with COVID to isolate per the CDC guidelines, allowing them to get well and minimize their chances of infecting others.

Testing:

Health Services no longer has access to free at-home rapid tests through the MN Department of Health. However, individuals can still order free tests from MDH at sayyeshometest while supplies last. Health Services charges $5 for a rapid COVID test performed in the clinic or for an at-home test kit.

Vaccinations:

Vaccination is a highly effective way to prevent disease and hospitalization in most populations. A new monovalent COVID booster will be available in early to mid-fall. This vaccine will no longer be offered free by the federal government. Most insurance plans will fully cover the cost of the COVID booster. Because Health Services does not bill insurance for services, we will not be offering the COVID booster in our clinic due to the high cost of the vaccine.

There will be a community vaccination clinic from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. on Wednesday, October 11, in the Eastlund Room. The COVID booster will be available at this clinic as well as the flu vaccine. The sponsoring vendor will be able to bill insurance for both vaccines. Schedule a vaccine appointment here.
