2018 Omark Preaching Competition Round Two Final Results

Why Jesus | A Case For the Curious

Caitlyn is a third-year Master of Divinity student at Bethel Seminary's Saint Paul campus. Caitlyn is passionate about good storytelling, mentoring and equipping the next generation of Christ-centered leaders, and learning from exceptional leaders. In addition to her Seminary studies, Caitlyn is a teaching assistant for Dr. David Howard, professor of Old Testament. She currently serves as the Teen Associate at Emmanuel Covenant Church in Shoreview, Minnesota, where she primarily works with preteen and middle school students.

Pruned by Love | Why Jesus as the True Vine Matters 

Stephanie is a fourth year Master of Divinity student at Bethel Seminary, St. Paul. She is the executive director of PAB'S PACKS, a nonprofit organization that brings comfort and encouragement to chronically ill teenagers. A former middle school teacher and youth pastor, Steph is passionate about empowering and equipping people of all ages to chase after Jesus and become whole and holy persons. Steph is a pastoral intern at Mill City Church in NE Minneapolis, where she leads Mill City's student ministries program. Steph is also a photographer and avid world traveler.

Compassionate Christ 

Ali is a Master's of Divinity (dual language concentration) student in San Diego. She studied Cognitive Science for her undergraduate degree. Though she initially intended to pursue neuroscience research, she couldn't deny a calling to seminary. Ali's time at Bethel has validated time and time again that this was the right decision and she is so grateful to be a part of the Bethel community. She plans to apply to theology PhD programs after graduating, aspires to pursue chaplaincy during her PhD program and eventually hopes to teach at seminary. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, playing and making music, hiking, being in nature, and playing with the love of her life, her pup, Theo!
