My favorite things about Bethel University

The genuineness of the people—you will always be surrounded by people who care for you and take interest in you. The critical-thinking component in the classroom—professors are always preparing students for the next step and life after college. The clubs and activities. There is a place for everyone here; whatever hobby or interest you have, there is likely a club to get involved in.

My favorite places on Bethel’s campus

I love Benson Great Hall where we hold chapel on MondayWednesday, and Friday, and Vespers, our worship service, on Sunday. The acoustics are absolutely amazing in the building, and the energy from the students and from the Spirit is nearly tangible. Another favorite place is the path around Lake Valentine—you can watch the leaves change in the fall and grab a sled to go sliding down the hill in the winter.

My favorite Twin Cities/Minnesota sites

My favorite Twin Cities spot is St. Anthony Main along the Mississippi. I love watching all the people run and bike along the paths and eating all the delicious food in the many restaurants to choose from. You also get a really nice view of the skyline and can watch the sunset over the water.

Before working at Bethel

I worked in supply chain management in the heart of downtown Minneapolis. It's been really neat to experience the crowded, busy life of downtown and then move back to peaceful Arden Hills. I also lived in Sweden for a short time serving a local church and specifically working with the youth to evangelize to Stockholm. Heja Sverige!
