  • One of the values in professional nursing practice is a respect for the inherent worth, dignity, and rights of all human beings. Your patients may not share the same ethnicity, culture, or set of values as you. Describe an experience you have had with a diverse group of people (or people who are different from you in some way). What did you learn from this experience?
  • Courage, resilience, flexibility, and an ability to overcome adversity are important characteristics for success in this program and the nursing profession. Describe a time when you were faced with a difficult situation. How did you bring resolution?
  • How will your perspectives, experiences, talents, or strengths provide a unique contribution to the post-baccalaureate nursing program and the nursing profession?
  • Describe your plan for being successful in a rigorous, accelerated nursing program. What aspects of the post-baccalaureate nursing program resonate with your learning style? What aspects may present a challenge for you?
  • Work and Involvement: Tell us about up to five of your most meaningful work activities and achievements. This might include direct patient-care experiences, notable leadership roles, employment experiences, community involvement, organizational memberships, family responsibilities, volunteer experiences, participation in the arts or athletics, military service, and/or special awards or recognition. List and briefly describe each activity/achievement.
