About George:
I joined the advancement team in 2024, shortly after graduating from Bethel in 2023. As a student I studied history, secondary education, and business, which left me with a combination of passions that ultimately led me to begin pursuing a career in fundraising. Prior to this position I worked as a teacher locally and internationally.
What I enjoy about my job:
I have loved my time as a student and employee at Bethel, and I believe in what God has done and will do in this place. The best part of my job is fostering connection and showing appreciation for the students, parents, donors, alumni, and friends that support Bethel. There are many markers of a thriving institution, but the connectivity and satisfaction of the community that supports it is huge.
In my free time:
I am likely engaged in something related to sport or food. I played football for Bethel as a student, and now enjoy remaining active in whatever sport is currently piquing my interest. When I am not playing one, I am probably spending time with friends watching one. Additionally, I greatly enjoy food. I like to spend time cooking and love to try new restaurants.Guiding Scripture:
Matthew 6:19-21
"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."
