For your 2015 taxes, you may be asked to provide a 1095-C. This new IRS form is part of the Affordable Care Act, and it is used to show proof of health insurance coverage. On Monday, December 28, the IRS released IRS Notice 2016-4 delaying the employer reporting requirements for 2015. In summary, the deadline for the Form 1095-C, Employer-Provided Health Insurance Offer and Coverage, was changed from February 1, 2016 to March 31, 2016. If you had health insurance provided through Bethel during 2015, your 1095-C Form will be mailed as soon as they are available, but no later than March 31,2016. If you need more information, please contact Barb Lamfers in Human Resources at b-lamfers@bethel.edu.
