Post Office

The Post Office at Bethel offers many services provided by the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) to students and employees.

Incoming Mail and Packages

Incoming Mail

The United States Postal Service (USPS) makes one delivery in the morning and does one pick up in the afternoon. Our goal is to have all mail and parcels processed and ready for pickup by noon each day. This time may vary during peak times such as the beginning of Fall or Spring semesters.

Incoming Packages

  • Package carriers deliver once per day, generally in the morning. Our goal is to have those parcels processed and ready for pickup within 2 hours of receiving them. This time may vary during peak times such as the beginning of Fall or Spring semesters.
  • Bethel University uses package tracking software that will send the package recipient an email notification to their Bethel email address when they have a package that is ready to be picked up.  Recipients will receive an automated reminder email every 3 days until the package is picked up.
  • Packages can be picked up at the Package Service Center located in HC104 behind the campus Post Office. Hours of operation are 8-10 a.m. and 11 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.

Perishable and/or Fragile Items

  • If you are expecting a fragile or perishable parcel, please send an email to package-service-center@bethel.edu and let us know. Packages are not always labeled properly, and this will help us process them more efficiently.
  • Perishable items should be picked up as soon as possible. We have very limited temperature-controlled space to store them and cannot guarantee against spoilage for items not picked up in a timely manner.
  • Packages are treated “as is” from the carrier. We handle packages as carefully as possible to minimize chances of damage. If your parcel arrives with evident damage, the Package Service Center will note that upon receipt. Filing a damage claim is the responsibility of the recipient. We will assist you if possible, but we are not responsible for items that arrive damaged.
  • Bethel University will not be held liable for damage to packages after delivery. Bethel University will not be held liable for perishable packages spoiling from not being picked up in a timely manner.

Mailboxes and Forwarding

All undergrad students receive mailboxes during their time at Bethel. We can forward your mail during summer breaks, semesters abroad, or when your time at Bethel is through.

Faxing Services

If you receive a fax, it will be forwarded to your Bethel email account.
