Joshua Paul King has a diverse background. He holds an undergraduate degree in graphic design and spent a decade working in EMS, serving as a 911 dispatcher and paramedic in the Boston area. For the past ten years, he has been in vocational church ministry and is currently completing his Master of Divinity at Bethel Seminary. He sensed a clear call from God to start Young Life in the Blackstone Valley, where he now serves, coming alongside teenagers and introducing them to Jesus. With his medical background, he is working with volunteers to grow the fledgling area with Young Life's disability ministry called Young Life Capernaum. He is also seen in the art room at the local high school teaching students about "retro" film photography.

Whether photographing a wedding, caring for someone in the back of an ambulance, or walking with young people through faith journeys, he’s always felt called to be with people in thin places, where heaven and earth overlap. He’s married to his wife Caitlin, an oncology nurse at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and together they have two daughters—Leah (8) and Ellie (6).
