As you pursue a public and community health degree, you’ll have numerous opportunities to apply what you’re learning, seek mentorship from industry professionals, participate in student groups, and gain experience. It’s all part of how we equip you with skills that transfer to any career.

Internships and field experience

You'll engage in semester-long internship experiences, completing 270+ service hours in public health settings such as clinics, nonprofits, governmental agencies, and organizations serving vulnerable populations. Courses will also include field experiences that expose you to a variety of career opportunities.

Research

Do original research alongside faculty, looking into behavioral health, epidemiology, health disparities, and more. 

Service learning

Service-learning opportunities through your classwork will enrich your studies, preparing you before you leave Bethel.
