  1. Priority application deadline:

    When?

    February 23 at 1 p.m.

Room Draw numbers are assigned to each applicant after the deadline. See the FAQ page to learn how numbers

  2. Choose your roommates.

    When?

    February 23 (after 6 p.m.) - March 2 (closes at 8 a.m. on March 2)

Rollover to North roommate groups must match by noon on March 1. Full groups get priority in room selection. If you don't have a full group, you'll be able to use Open Groups Connection starting on February 15 to connect with other groups looking for roommates.

Important note: First year/Freshman students' draw numbers are significantly higher as their years in housing are lower. An Upperclass group may select a first year student as a roommate but the group number when averaged will be higher resulting in a later room draw time for the group.  It is possible the desired room type may be filled.

Check out our FAQ page for answers to many of your room draw questions.
  3. Pick your room during room draw

    When?

    North Village Rollover
    Wednesday, March 1 starting at 7 p.m.
6 person rooms in Heritage, North Woods, and North Waters
    Thursday, March 2 starting at 4 p.m.
3-5 person rooms in North Woods and North Waters
    Thursday, March 2 starting at 7 p.m.

    How?

Once your selection time becomes active, someone from your group can pick your room by visiting their MYHousing page through Blink (Student Services tab > Housing channel > MyHousing and Meal Plans).

See the room selection instructions for what to do once your're logged into MyHousing.

What if our group does not get a 6-student room?

Roommate selection re-opens from approximately 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 1 for groups that did not get a room in the 6 person draw. During this time, you can regroup to be ready for the 3-5 person room draw and select a room your group can fill.

    What if I can't fill a room?

The size of your matched group at the deadline is the only size room you will be shown when your Room Draw time is live. You must be able to fill the room. If any roommates are unmatched, they will not be included in the roommate count and size of room.

Full groups get priority. So if you don't have a full group, you'll have a chance to pick your room after all full groups have selected their rooms. We'll send you an email letting you know when partial groups can pick their rooms.

What are meal plan requirements for each hall?

A meal plan is required for all students with housing in Bodien, Edgren, Getsch, Nelson, Lissner, Arden Village, and Heritage.

A meal plan is optional for students with housing in North Waters and North Woods apartments. These apartments are equipped with full kitchens.
