Trust Management
Bethel University Foundation
Trust management is a key service offered by the Foundation. We manage trusts valued in total at more than $15 million, ranging from charitable remainder unitrusts, to family trusts, to irrevocable life insurance trusts.
We also manage numerous testamentary trusts, part of estate plans for which the Foundation will serve as trustee, as these trusts are funded.
Professional Management
Trust administration is complex due to changing regulations and policies.
That's why we recruit professional experts to serve on our Board of Governors and staff to ensure we're handling your assets with the best possible care. They stay current on trust management issues, including:
- Trust laws and regulations
- Accounting practices
- Internal revenue code issues
- Investment rules and regulations
Sources of Funding
You can fund a trust with a wide variety of assets, including:
- Cash
- Marketable Securities
- Real Estate
- Apartment buildings or duplexes
- Personal residences
- Commercial real estate
- Farm or ranch land
- Vacant residential lots
- Undeveloped real estate parcels
