Associate Provost for the College of Adult & Professional Studies, Bethel Seminary, and Graduate School

Dear Colleagues,

I am delighted to announce the appointment of Dr. Randy Bergen as our associate provost for the College of Adult & Professional Studies, Bethel Seminary, and Graduate School. After reviewing materials from a number of qualified applicants, the search advisory committee of Jeannine Brown, Nikki Daniels, Ryan Gunderson, Ross Jahnke, Mary Lindell, Jen Niska, Sarah Sauerbry, Deb Sullivan-Trainor, and me (chair) recommended Randy for this position. Over the past week Randy has interviewed with a number of individuals and groups. I received consistently positive feedback in support of Randy for this position. A number of people noted that he is a highly skilled and collaborative leader, exceptional listener, and brings a significant depth of expertise in higher education.

Randy will begin his service as associate provost on March 1. He will also continue in his work with President Barnes until a new special assistant to the president is hired.

Please join me in congratulating Randy on his new position at Bethel.

Gratefully,
Deb

Debra K. Harless, Ph.D.
