An Extra Holiday: July 3, 2017

Colleagues:

Some of you may have noticed that July 4 falls on a Tuesday this year. In order to provide staff members with a long holiday weekend without needing to dip into their vacation time, Cabinet has decided to add July 3 as an extra holiday for 2017. The campus will be closed on both July 3 and 4.

While we are not able to promise this type of extra holiday in future years, we wanted to take this opportunity to provide an extra holiday this year as a thank you to employees. We are hopeful that this advanced notice will be helpful for you as you make your summer plans. As a reminder, upcoming holidays are listed in the HR News channel on Blink’s Work Life tab and a complete list of holidays can be found on the Human Resources webpage.
